With the continued growth of our business and the ever-increasing need for heritage reporting on many of our projects, we’re expanding our heritage team with two new additions.
We’re pleased to introduce Catherine Armstrong and Matthew Stevens to the team.
Catherine Armstrong, Heritage Associate
Catherine holds a Masters in Conservation of Historic Buildings from the University of Bath, for which she was awarded a distinction. Since her MSc, she has worked for the National Trust, and as a freelance heritage consultant, with experience including Grade I and II listed polite, vernacular and ecclesiastical buildings. She has done pro bono work for SAVE Britain’s Heritage; and she has also worked in sustainable travel in Africa – similarly addressing human and environmental intervention and impacts in terms of conservation.
Matthew Stevens, Heritage Associate
Matthew obtained a Masters in Conservation of Historic Buildings from the University of Bath. Following this, he moved into the construction industry, forming a heritage division and specialising in fire safety in heritage buildings. Previous clients and projects have included the Houses of Parliament, Bibury Manor and Camden City Hall. He naturally progressed into heritage and conservation planning and has worked on a variety of projects, including Grade I and II* listed buildings, decarbonisation projects, appeals and major residential developments in highly contentious townscape settings. Alongside this, Matthew recently completed an MBA from Henley Business School.
We’re thrilled to have the new members on board and look forward to introducing them to our clients.
Welcome to the team, Catherine and Matthew!
