Tel: 07521 393369 Email: catherine@edgarslimited.co.ukCatherine joined Edgars in April 2024 as a heritage associate.
She holds a Masters in Conservation of Historic Buildings from The University of Bath, for which she was awarded a distinction. Since her MSc, she has worked for the National Trust, and as a freelance heritage consultant, with experience including Grade I and II listed polite, vernacular and ecclesiastical buildings, principally in the Bath area. She has done pro bono work for SAVE Britain’s Heritage; and she has also worked in sustainable travel in Africa – similarly addressing human and environmental intervention and impacts in terms of conservation.
She has heritage project management experience on site (both ecclesiastical and residential) which gives an understanding of the day-to-day practical challenges and constraints of working with historic structures.
Prior to her MSc, she had a successful corporate career in publishing, communications and CSR, after graduating from Durham University with a BA Hons in English Lang & Lit with a subsidiary in Greek & Roman Art & Architecture. Her former career in communications is invaluable in advocating the case for our built heritage.
Catherine is passionate about preserving the beauty, character, dignity and purpose of historic buildings, whilst ensuring they have a viable and sustainable future.
